Sydney Golden Wattle Acacia longifolia
Sydney Golden Wattles live for approximately 10 to 20 years.
Flowers appear in late winter and nearly the entire plant is covered in flowers.
This is a very useful plant in its ecosystem as it also fixes nitrogen into the soil. This can be used by other plants after the wattle dies.
The flowers provide food for many insects particularly bees. Parrots eat the seeds and pods.
