Banksia collina occurs along the coast from Gympie in Queensland and South to Sydney; so here it is growing near the bottom of its range.

Banksia Collina is also called Hairpin Banksia.

​

The main difference is that its leaves are broader than those of spinulosa and are usually slightly serrated.
